The New Year, A New Website and New Changes

5 Jan

“God is in the business of change, and he’s placed us in a community of change. The church is one of God’s means of grace to reinforce our faith and repentance, but it’s also a channel for the other means of grace. I’m holding a book on holiness in my hand that has a picture on the cover of a person walking alone along a beach. The message is that holiness is about me and God. But change in the Bible is never a solo project. Change is a community project.”

This is a quotation from an article by Tim Chester found at GCD (Gospel-Centered Discipleship) entitled, Change Is A Community Project.  GCD is a great website for discipleship resources, providing thoughtful articles from numerous contributors, as well as two e-book resources available for download each month.  If you are looking for a new website in this new year, check out GCD.

In the coming days, I will be writing a post explaining my goals for Surpassing Joy in the new year and the ways in which I praying God might use this site to help others find their greatest joy in Christ and glorify God in all facets of their lives.
